Android tablet address bar location

Today opening Firefox on my Android (11) tablet I was greeted with a significantly different user interface. At first, I thought something had gone wrong and my settings had been erased, but it turns out I got 139 update, and it outright removes the option to have the address bar at the bottom for tablets.

Hoping this was a glitch in the new release, I grabbed the Firefox beta (140b5). Nuh-uh, no address bar in the bottom for you.

Given that 10-inch tablet held in your hands is NOT a desktop with keyboard and mouse, it's rather awkward to reach the top, you got to shuffle your grip to get there and then you have to go back down to thumb-type the address you wanted. This is significant degradation of the user experience for tablet users.

I can get it that new, even radical, user interface designs are rolled out, but I do not get it that it's suddenly forced on everyone with no way to switch back. In fact if people go to the trouble to move the bar back down, that's good usage data for the devs.

Yes, there's a super secret double probation setting which can restore the address bar where it belongs, but it's a secret and not an acceptable solution for a _release_ channel.

You're not the only one who's really bothered by this.
Mozilla really screwed up. I wonder what they were thinking.
I'm so frustrated right now that I've switched to another browser.
The new tab bar is great, but the fact that I can no longer move it and the address bar to the bottom is a no-go.
